Internal Talent Acquisition Specialist (Full Time/ Part time / Flexible working up to 37 Hours P/W Mon-Friday) We are looking for a driven and personable Internal Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our People Operations team. This role is key to identifying, attracting, and securing top talent for Colchester Institute. Acting as a brand ambassador, you will enhance our recruitment process with a personal, human touch that reflects the college's values and culture. About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced recruiter to become an integral part of Colchester Institute. In this pivotal role, you will work closely with our senior leadership team to fill key vacancies that are critical to the College's growth and success, ensuring our learners are supported by the very best talent in the industry. Talent Sourcing: Proactively identify and attract candidates for internal roles across the college by working closely with hiring managers to understand recruitment needs. Brand Advocacy: Act as a representative of Colchester Institute at careers events, job fairs, and outreach activities, promoting the college and its opportunities with energy and professionalism. Candidate Engagement: Reach out to prospective candidates directly (including cold calling), generate interest in roles, and communicate the benefits of joining the college—including career pathways from industry into teaching. Recruitment System Oversight: Support the effective use of our applicant tracking system (Talos360), ensuring all processes are followed and data is maintained to a high standard. Project Delivery: Collaborate with the People Operations Manager on specific recruitment-related projects aligned with the People Operations Action Plan and wider strategic goals. Team Support: Provide cover and support during periods of high workload or staff absence, contributing to team success and helping to meet key deadlines. Compliance & Documentation: Follow up with staff for documentation and qualification checks, ensuring all records are accurate and GDPR compliant. Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to maintain quality and consistency throughout the recruitment process. Continuous Development: Take responsibility for your own professional development, staying up to date with best practices in recruitment and talent acquisition. Uphold College Values: Demonstrate and promote the college's values, including its commitment to Safeguarding, Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, and Health & Safety. Essential Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of recruitment experience, either as a 360 recruiter or in an internal role. Strong communication and relationship building skills. Essential Qualifications: Minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics GCSE 4 or C and above / CSE Level 1 / O-Level C or above / Level 2 Adult Numeracy or Literacy or equivalent All applications will be assessed against the stated essential requirements, so please ensure your CV clearly demonstrates how you meet them.
