We are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team at The King William IV.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in all aspects of food production and kitchen management. Responsibilities
Assist the Head Chef in menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
Supervise kitchen staff, ensuring that all team members are performing their duties effectively.
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
Oversee daily operations of the kitchen, including inventory management and ordering supplies.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff in culinary techniques and best practices.
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and improve existing dishes.
Ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards before serving.
Monitor portion control and minimise waste to enhance profitability.
Experience
Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
Strong background in food production, culinary techniques, and food preparation.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team.
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
