About The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen to work in the Temporary Accommodation Service. The Housing Solutions & Support service are experiencing unprecedented demand around the use of temporary accommodation. There are currently over 5,600 households in temporary accommodation.
Duties And Responsibilities
* The successful candidate will be expected to undertake visits to empty properties, conducting inspections, arranging lock changes, and raising orders for furnishings, among other duties.
* Demonstrate IT literacy, resilience, and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure while working in a highly pressurised area of the business.
* Work as part of a team, keeping systems updated promptly and advancing work to resolution each day in a timely manner.
* Contact customers to confirm their move out of temporary accommodation, collect keys, and update systems.
* Carry out daily visits; a full driving licence and access to a vehicle are required. A car allowance will be paid at the appropriate rate.
* Receive full training, shadowing, mentoring, and coaching.
* Work hybrid, attending a BCC office location each week; the role may involve lone working.
* Meet KPI and performance targets to ensure void properties are moved on daily.
* Provide cover for emergencies, sickness and annual leave as required, and work city‑wide providing wrap‑around support.

Essential For This Role
Knowledge of Landlord & Tenant legislation and HHSRS requirements is essential.
