We are currently looking for an experienced and highly driven Store Manager to lead the retail team in our Ashford store. This store is a key location and has the potential to grow further. The ideal candidate will have a strong commercial mindset, proven leadership skills, and a track record of developing high-volume stores successfully. This role offers the potential to grow with the business as we expand in the region, making it an excellent opportunity for an ambitious retail professional looking to advance their career.
The Person:
* Passionate about the Lyle & Scott brand.
* A natural leader and mentor with a focus on people development.
* Track record of effective support and active management of team.
* Demonstrable understanding of driving performance in a retail business.
* Strong analytical and organisational skills, with confidence to collate and interpret, store performance data, including banking, KPIs, and financial results.
* Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Store Manager with a premium fashion or lifestyle brand.
* Excellent written and verbal communication in English
* Engaging, warm, and positive attitude with strong customer service skills.
* Visual eye for detail with working knowledge of current retail and fashion trends.
* Living near to Ashford Outlet Centre and willing to travel to other stores and our London HQ for management meetings
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, manage, and motivate a team to achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
* Consistently identify commercial opportunities to drive sales growth and profitability.
* Responsible for recruitment, management, training and development of the team, identifying potential stars and nurturing their talent.
* Ensure smooth day-to-day store operations, including stock management, visual merchandising, and customer service.
* Ordering, receiving, and overseeing stock deliveries on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
* Lead weekly trade meetings with the HQ team to discuss Ashford store performance and opportunities.
* Responsible for the financial management of the store, including payroll, sales and margin budgets, banking accuracy and security, stock, and shrinkage.
* Maintain high standards of customer service, ensuring a seamless shopping experience.
* Understand the needs of customers and drive sales based on their needs.
* Ensure the shop is well merchandised at all times, replenishing stock and maintaining high-quality visual displays.
* Get stuck in! Show the team you’re willing to do anything you ask of them and coach them into striving for continuous improvement.
* Follow company operational policies, including health and safety procedures, as well as local regulations.
* Maintain strong knowledge of industry trends, competitors, and market opportunities within the centre.
