Maths and English Tutor – Stockport (SK1)

Are you passionate about helping young learners succeed in Maths and English?
TP Tutors is looking for enthusiastic and skilled tutors in the Stockport (SK1) area to deliver 1:1 and small group tuition to pupils who need extra academic support.
You’ll be working with children who may be out of mainstream education, have additional learning needs, or simply require extra help to build their confidence in core subjects. Your sessions will focus on closing learning gaps, strengthening understanding, and encouraging learners to enjoy their progress.
Tuition is delivered face-to-face, either in pupils’ homes or at local community venues such as libraries. You’ll plan tailored lessons, adapting your teaching style to suit the needs and abilities of each student, ensuring they feel supported and motivated every step of the way.
We’re looking for tutors who have:
Experience teaching or tutoring Maths and/or English
The ability to plan and deliver engaging, individualised sessions
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)

Competitive pay (£25–£30 per hour)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
