Collateral Operations Analyst – 6 to 9 Month FTC - Junior role, ideal for Graduates

Salary: £38,000 per annum
Contract: Fixed Term, initially 6 months with potential extension to 9 months
A leading financial institution is seeking a Collateral Operations Analyst to join their Prime Services division, providing maternity cover for a minimum of 6 months. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in financial markets to work in a client-facing operations environment within a fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Accurate distribution of client margin statements
* Investigating and resolving margin deficits and related queries
* Daily interaction with hedge fund clients and internal stakeholders
* Reconciliation of collateral balances and resolution of breaks
* Supporting the wider team with operational and regulatory requirements
What We’re Looking For:
* A finance graduate or someone with relevant experience seeking a career in operations
* Strong communication skills and confidence in client interactions
* Basic understanding of trading products (e.g., equities, derivatives)
* Knowledge of hedge funds and their strategies
* Understanding of the regulatory landscape in financial markets
* Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively
