The Advanced Analytics Senior Consultant will partner with modelling teams to develop econometric models that incorporate numerous factors impacting sales performance (pricing, promotions and competitive activities, range) to help isolate what’s really driving consumers purchase decisions and identify the most effective strategies to achieve client’s profitability objectives. Help your clients grow their business by partnering with them to draw compelling insights from Nielsen data.
The Senior Consultant will be curious, self‑motivated and have a creative touch. Leverage statistical analysis to understand past trends and predict the future effect of marketing tactics on sales. You will create concise and compelling presentations about brand, market, industry and category trends in response to your client’s business needs. You will work with a cross‑functional range of stakeholders to help our clients make smarter decisions when investing their marketing budget and ensure that the client is achieving maximum benefit from their Nielsen investment.
Presenting often to senior client stakeholders, this role provides a platform to influence client strategy at the highest levels and demands strong commercial and analytical capability.
Your Responsibilities
Have a strong working knowledge of the client business priorities and the role we can play in supporting these goals (eg. participating in business cycles such as brand planning & range reviews etc.)
Create thought leadership to be shared both internally and externally with a view to addressing client business issues and promoting new thinking.
Lead trainings, work with sales to shape briefs and upsell where possible.
Knowledgeable in Shelf Architect and Market Structure, as well as awareness of the wider SA&I business.
Client ownership of assigned accounts, strengthening relationships through a deep understanding of client’s issues and providing value‑add expertise in pricing & Strategic Revenue Management.
Analysis of client engagement to drive deep integration & satisfaction.
Convert analytical results into a business‑focused and actionable client report.
Present results in a compelling, consultative way applying an SCQA approach.
About You
An understanding of Revenue Growth Management and BA/BS required or equivalent business experience.
2+ years research‑related roles with a focus on marketing analytics and implications for our clients and their brands.
Previous experience in the FMCG sector, preferably within brand, category management, trade marketing, consumer insights or revenue management.
Strong analysis, insight generation and visualization skills, focusing on statistics, economics, and marketing research as an advantage.
Understand PnP solutions, ASO and MS, business issues, research methods, analysis and techniques.
Analysis of model outputs to deliver consultative recommendations.
Knowledge of statistical methods and excellent project management with a proven track record of delivering projects on time.
Good at building relationships internally and with clients.
Advising Commercial Team on development of proposals and project design based on client need.
Capable of leveraging tools such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Engaging presenter with ability to articulate technical information in a simple impactful way.
Ability to operate and influence across various levels and stakeholders in the organization.
