Welcome to Motel


Our story began during a road trip in the 1990s, where our founders, Will and Andy, travelled across America collecting vintage items while living out of motels. They started purchasing vintage clothing in the USA and selling it wholesale, which eventually led to the creation of stores. From there, they began designing reworked vintage pieces, and thus, Motel was born.

Over 30 years and a team of 200+ people later, every piece of clothing we make is created with the same spirit of fun, freedom and adventure as the road trip that first defined the brand. We're still ambitious and independent, but now we're a global team - we work from an operational base in Worcester, a design studio in London and a creative studio in Bali.


The role


This role is a critical component of our behavior change campaigns, responsible for sourcing and engaging social media influencers, and curating content to support key campaign objectives. This position will report to Influencer Outreach Manager and work closely with the Social Media Manager


Main tasks & responsibilities


Influencer Relationship Management:

* Identify and establish relationships with influencers and content creators aligned with our brand.
* Negotiate and manage influencer partnerships, contracts, and agreements.

Content Strategy:

* Collaborate with the marketing team to integrate influencer content into broader marketing campaigns.
* Social listening: Monitor social media platforms for updates, industry trends and competitor activity. Proactively explore new tools and strategies to enhance our socials and recommend improvement opportunities

Content Creation Oversight:

* Guide influencers in creating content that resonates with our brand and target audience.
* Provide creative direction and ensure content meets brand guidelines.

Campaign Execution:

* Plan and coordinate influencer campaigns, including content calendars, timelines, and key milestones.
* Monitor and track influencer campaign performance, providing regular reports and insights.
* Raising, monitoring and tracking budgets in line with company content budget.

Communication and Coordination:

* Serve as the main point of contact between influencers and internal teams.
* Ensure timely delivery of content assets and collaboration with relevant stakeholders.

Compliance and Guidelines:

* Stay informed about industry regulations and guidelines related to influencer marketing.
* Ensure influencers adhere to FTC guidelines and brand standards.

Data Analysis:

* Analyze influencer marketing performance metrics and derive actionable insights.
* Use data to optimize influencer selection and campaign strategies.

Budgets & Negotiations:

* Will be required to coordinate with brands and negotiate fees for events, creators and the like. We would also like reports to be translated back for transparency.

Content creation:

* Develop engaging and relevant content for our social media channels, including TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn

Ad-Hoc support:

* Provide support for other marketing initiatives and projects as needed

Brand Support:

Support with any execution of brand 'muse' gifting


About you

* Committed to promoting conscious creativity, helping us build a brand that champions sustainability and supports our social and environmental impact
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
* Proven experience in influencer marketing or social media coordination.
* Strong understanding of social media platforms and influencer trends.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
* Creative thinker with an eye for visual aesthetics.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with influencer marketing tools and platforms.
