Job Description:

Job overview

Experience the allure of a captivating, dynamic, and flexible role! Become an integral part of our well-established, successful team, driving the evolution of Liaison and Diversion services across police custody suites, courts, and prisons in Kent and Medway. Work alongside dedicated colleagues, delivering an all-encompassing service to clients in the Criminal Justice System, addressing all age groups and vulnerabilities. Immerse yourself in the rewarding task of identifying support needs, empowering individuals to connect with services that truly make a difference in their lives. Collaborate with professionals in health, justice, and social care to actively contribute to reducing reoffending and fostering safer communities. Your journey begins with us, where every moment shapes meaningful impact.

Main duties of the job

* To support the Service Manager to ensure that the service provided by the Liaison, Diversion and Reconnect is safe, effective and of high quality
* To act as line manager for an identified staff group of varied professional backgrounds and grades
* To provide professional leadership through daily team management, role-modelling, supervision and training
* To collaborate with stakeholders on service delivery, developments and problem-solving, in order to maintain the provision of a responsive service
* To play a key role in service development, such as service user pathway evaluation and recruitment and selection
* To work within the CJLDS as a senior clinical practitioner, providing an ‘all vulnerabilities’ screening/assessment service, and supporting team members to do the same
* To have a robust approach to risk management, both in own practice and overseeing that of the wider service delivery

Working for our organisation

Come and work with us in the Garden of England where we combine exceptional professional development opportunities with a tremendous quality of life.

We are Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT), providing mental health, learning disability and specialist services, serving 1.8 million people across the county.

The nature of our work attracts kindness and compassion as standard and everyone from our cleaners and porters to the chief executive and chairman are recognised as playing a vital role in providing an exemplary service.
