Here at Chubb Fire & Security, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced legal professional to join our high-performing team as Legal Counsel based in Blackburn (BB12PR) on a permanent, full-time basis. We are looking for a generalist professional who can work across a multitude of different legal areas including Commercial / Contracts, GDPR, and Litigation.
This is a hybrid role with 3 days per week spent in the office (negotiable depending on individual circumstances).

What You’ll Be Doing As Legal Counsel
* Provide legal guidance on commercial contracts, corporate governance, compliance, and regulatory matters
* Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including supplier, customer, and partnership contracts
* Work collaboratively with internal teams, including senior stakeholders and external counsel
* Influence external parties at an operational level and represent the department in legal matters
* Provide legal advice to individuals and business units concerning legal rights, obligations, and regulatory requirements
* Interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations for individuals and businesses to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
* Responsible for making significant improvements to processes to ensure that business decisions reflect current legal requirements, trends, and interpretations
Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Mon to Fri 9.00am-5.00pm | Hybrid
What We Would Like You To Bring:
We’re looking for an experienced legal professional with generalist experience who ideally has worked previously in an in-house position.
Key Requirements include:
* Qualified Solicitor with 4+ years PQE
* Experience in commercial/contract review and negotiation essential
* Experience in Data Privacy, to include but not limited to, SARs; data breaches; DPA and PIAs preferred
* Exposure/experience with litigation preferred
* Strong understanding of contract law, regulatory compliance, and risk management
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to work alongside key business stakeholders to provide clear guidance and advice
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-moving business environment
