As an EYFS TA, you will help create a stimulating and nurturing environment that supports young children’s learning, development, and well-being, giving them the best start to their educational journey. Responsibilities as an EYFS Teaching Assistant: Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate activities for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). Foster positive relationships with pupils to help them develop socially, emotionally, and academically. Assist with classroom organisation, preparing resources, and maintaining a safe learning environment. Work closely with parents and colleagues to support each child’s individual learning needs. Contribute to observations and assessments to monitor children’s progress. Requirements for EYFS Teaching Assistant: Previous experience working with young children, ideally in an EYFS setting. Understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development. A patient, caring, and creative approach to supporting early learning. A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history where possible, with any gaps explained.
