Overview
There is an exciting opportunity for a Cleaner to support our services at Bridport Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving a high standard of cleanliness in a clinical ward based environment and also non-clinical areas throughout the main hospital, ensuring that a clean, safe and comfortable environment is maintained. Full on-site training is provided and PPE provision is included.
Details
* Post: 18 hours per week, includes a half-hour unpaid break.
* Proposed rota: Monday - Wednesday 07:00-13:30, may include occasional weekend work.
Eligibility
Applications from candidates that require current Skilled Worker sponsorship to work in the UK are ineligible to apply for this position.
Organisation
This post is part of the Facilities & Estates Service that Dorset HealthCare may transfer to an NHS wholly owned subsidiary company, from November 2025 or later. The NHS wholly owned subsidiary will continue to offer NHS Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions, including NHS pensions, to staff who transfer as well as new staff it recruits itself.
Responsibilities
* Support the Facilities Function to ensure that the standard of cleanliness within the Trust is implemented and maintained.
* Main duties include vacuuming, mopping, general cleaning/damp dusting, cleaning bathrooms, toilets, emptying bins, use of mechanical floor cleaning machines.
* Work as part of a team with a flexible approach, good communication, and the ability to use initiative.
* Opportunity to work extra hours to cover sickness and staff holidays; job share would be considered.

Good pay rates, 27 days annual leave per year to start plus Bank Holidays and weekend enhancements if required.
