Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and reliable Traffic Management Operative to support the safe and efficient flow of vehicles and pedestrians at Teesside Park. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring customer safety, minimising congestion, and providing excellent service to all visitors.
Key Responsibilities
* Direct and manage traffic flow within Teesside Park, ensuring safe entry, exit, and parking.
* Assist customers with parking, providing clear instructions and maintaining a safe environment.
* Monitor high-traffic areas and respond quickly to prevent congestion or hazards.
* Work alongside centre security and management teams to coordinate events, peak trading hours, and emergency procedures.
* Report incidents, accidents, or hazards promptly to the site supervisor.
* Set up, maintain, and remove traffic management equipment (cones, barriers, signage) as required.
* Provide excellent customer service to visitors, offering assistance where needed.
* Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations at all times.
Person Specification
Essential:
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to remain calm and professional in busy or stressful situations.
* Strong awareness of safety procedures and hazard prevention.
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays).
* Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Desirable:
* Previous experience in traffic management, security, or a similar role.
* Valid Traffic Management or Health & Safety qualification
* First Aid qualification
