SEND Teaching Assistant Location: Shropshire (Shrewsbury & Telford areas) Pay: £444–£455 per week ️ Start Date: As soon as possible Full-time & part-time roles available ABC Teachers is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistants to join specialist schools across the Shrewsbury and Telford areas. We are working closely with supportive settings to recruit for a number of positions starting as soon as possible, and in November2025. About the Role: • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a variety of additional needs • Assist teachers in adapting and delivering a personalised curriculum • Encourage student engagement, independence, and progress • Collaborate effectively with teaching staff, therapists, and other professionals • Opportunities for flexible placements – short-term, long-term, and potential permanent role About the Schools: • Inclusive SEND schools supporting children and young people aged 4–19 • Cater for a wide range of needs, including autism, social and emotional needs, and complex learning difficulties • Supportive environments offering CPD, training, and development opportunities • Positive and welcoming staff teams, with a strong focus on wellbeing and collaboration ✅ About You: • Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school, care, or community settings) • Patient, resilient, and passionate about helping every child achieve their potential • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build positive relationships quickly • A team player with a proactive and flexible approach • Must be able to provide professional references and complete an enhanced DBS check *All staff we register will undertake thorough interviewing and referencing checks and hold, or be prepared to undergo, an Enhanced DBS check that must be registered on the Update Service.
