Data Steward – 12 Month FTC
Location: London | Hybrid (3 days in the office)
Function: Risk (2LOD)
A well-established UK retail and commercial bank is looking for a Data Steward to join its Risk function on a 12-month fixed-term contract.
Sitting within Advanced Analytics & Frameworks, this role will support data governance across the Risk and Credit Information area - coordinating forums, tracking data quality issues, and ensuring strong oversight and follow-up in line with regulatory expectations.
What you’ll be doing:
* Coordinating and preparing materials for monthly data governance forums
* Acting as Secretariat (agenda, minutes, action tracking)
* Maintaining and monitoring data quality issue logs
* Following up on governance actions across stakeholders
* Supporting adherence to the Risk Management Framework
What we’re looking for:
* Data governance / data management / business analysis experience within financial services
* Understanding of data quality principles and governance frameworks
* Strong stakeholder coordination skills
* Confident Excel user (formulas, pivot tables)
* Organised, proactive and comfortable working in a regulated environment
