Area Sales Manager - Northern Region
£45k + Bonus | Company Car | Leading International Lighting Brand
Our client, a global leader in LED lighting solutions, is looking for a motivated and commercially astute Area Sales Manager to join their Northern Region team. This is a field-based position covering Derby, Leicester, Rutland, and Nottingham, managing a portfolio of wholesale accounts and driving new business opportunities with contractors.
The business operates under a well-established and trusted brand within the electrical wholesale market and is known for delivering high-performance lighting solutions backed by excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and grow an existing customer base of electrical wholesalers
* Develop strong relationships with branch managers, buyers, and trade counters
* Identify and convert new project opportunities, maintaining a healthy pipeline
* Deliver product training and demonstrations to support specification and sales
* Collaborate with contractors to enhance brand visibility and preference
* Track and report monthly performance, identifying key variances and opportunities
* Represent the brand at trade shows and industry events
* Contribute to divisional sales meetings with updates, insights, and ideas
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in account-based sales, preferably selling to or working within electrical wholesale. Lighting sector knowledge is advantageous but not essential. A proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently are essential.
Package Includes:
£45,000 basic (depending on experience) + bonus, company car, laptop, mobile, company credit card, healthcare, pension, 22 days holiday + bank holidays (rising with service), and more.
