Financial Accountant
Telford (on-site working)
Salary up to £45k
Seymour John is working in partnership with an international manufacturer who require a Financial Accountant to work within their finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller you will be responsible for maintaining general ledgers for various entities within the group as well as assisting with statutory accounts and forecasting. This is a fast-paced environment with strict reporting deadlines.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Statutory Accounts – compilation and reviews
* Forecasting (monthly) compilation and reviews
* Budgeting
* Variance Analysis
* Journal posting
* Run audit reports by BU and correct BU Crossovers
* Check PL suspense account is nil
* Reconcile debtors and creditors accounts
* Leases IFRS16 and reconciliation
* Accruals hired labour – Agency labour
* Utilities Accruals and analysis
* General and specific accruals, reversing and non-reversing
* Moving of costs into relevant accounts and relevant entities
* Prepayments
* VAT compilation and submission (UK)
* Weekly scrap report
* VAT returns – three entities
* EC Sales / Intrastat returns – monthly
* Control Recs & B/S Recs
* Deal with high level Purchase Ledger queries
To be considered for this role it is essential that you have proven experience as a Financial Accountant or in a similar role with knowledge of ledgers and statutory accounting and forecasting. You will ideally be AAT Qualified and full or partial ACCA, ACA or CIMA, with strong working experience of using excel.
