Reporting to the Environmental and Sustainability Manager, the Environmental and Sustainability Specialist (Senior Environmental Advisor) will play a key role in implementing the Telent Sustainability Strategy and supporting Business Units to meet business waste and carbon reduction objectives, customer expectations, ISO14001, and legal requirements across our Rail and Asset Management divisions. This is an agile working role, with up to 50% UK-wide travel.
Responsibilities include:
* Providing specialist direction and advice to EHS teams and project leads on environment and sustainability to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
* Supporting risk management through environmental assurance regimes and audit programs.
* Assisting in the preparation of sustainability and carbon reduction plans for contracts and bids.
* Maintaining performance data and generating carbon management reports for stakeholders.
* Reviewing environmental aspects and impacts within Business Units, including climate change risks.
* Embedding sustainable and carbon reduction practices throughout project lifecycles.
Candidate Profile:
Experience in a similar Environmental & Sustainability role within relevant industries (Rail, Telecoms, Utilities, Construction).
Minimum Requirements:
* PIEMA qualification
* ISO14001:2015 Lead Auditor certification
* Experience providing technical sustainability and environmental advice
* Proven impact reduction in equipment and infrastructure lifecycle
* Experience managing complex projects and change initiatives
* Full driving license and flexibility for UK-wide travel
