The Security Officer actively participates in the day‑to‑day security operations of the property to ensure the safety and security of all guests, personnel, and property. This position will control the staff entrance to ensure that all parties entering the property have permission. They will also be responsible for managing employee lockers, issuing nametags and ID cards.
Responsibilities
* Monitor and control the staff entrance to ensure that everyone entering the hotel has authorised access.
* Support colleagues with locker management, nametags and ID cards.
* Contribute to a safe environment through regular patrols, incident response and clear communication.
* Provide assistance in emergency situations and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications
* SIA licence is required.
* Previous police or military experience, or extensive security experience in a similar environment.
* Previous experience in administration of persons in lifesaving or property protection situations.
* Experience with Closed‑Circuit TV and access‑management control.
* Experienced in CPR, first aid, fire prevention/fighting, and crowd control.
* Excellent command of the English language and computer literate.
* Health and safety knowledge and an understanding of risk assessments.
* Able to work alone and in a team.
