Are you passionate about supporting children in creative and playful environments? Mothership Studios, part of the Stryx Gallery community, is looking for a Play Worker Assistant to support our lead Play Worker during childcare sessions.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in childcare, creative facilitation, and arts education while contributing to an inclusive, collaborative environment that supports mothers, primary caregivers, and their families.
Time commitment:
Flexible shifts, Monday – Saturday, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Volunteers can select days based on availability.
What's involved:
As a Play Worker Assistant, you'll:
* Support the lead Play Worker in delivering creative and engaging sessions for children
* Assist children with activities and encourage participation
* Ensure a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children
* Help with setup, tidying, and organisation of creative spaces and play areas
* Observe and respond to children's needs under the guidance of the lead Play Worker
* Support positive interactions between children and their caregivers
