Job Description:
We are looking for a Business Development Manager focused on driving revenue through renewals and new business sales.
This role involves selling cutting-edge engineering and construction insights, supported by market-leading workflow technology solutions. Your primary responsibility will be supporting organizations in the UK across Commercial, Public, and Education sectors, helping them meet their engineering, design, quality, legal, and compliance obligations. By providing innovative solutions, you'll help clients save resources such as time, space, and money while mitigating organizational risks. The position is based at our modern Bracknell headquarters, with options for part and remote working.
Job Duties:
* Evaluate how the company's solutions align with clients' goals and strategies.
* Identify new prospects or expansion opportunities within the market.
* Develop customer-specific recommendations and present compelling value propositions to close sales.
* Manage a portfolio of key construction accounts, employing a four-point touch plan to identify upsell and retention opportunities.
* Exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales quotas. Grow and develop the sales pipeline to support accurate forecasting.
* Provide monthly forecasts using Salesforce and Excel.
* Manage contractual and administrative processes in accordance with internal guidelines.
* Collaborate effectively with the team and management to deliver excellence to both existing and potential customers.
Required Experience:
* At least 5 years of professional inside sales experience.
* Excellent listening skills to understand customer pain points and develop tailored recommendations.
* Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, proficient with telephone, email, PowerPoint, Teams, and Zoom.
* Ability to liaise with customers at all levels, including decision-makers and procurement.
* Skilled in building strong personal relationships with customers.
* Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team.
* Strong organizational and workflow management skills.
* Analytical skills for sourcing new business and developing existing accounts.
* Proactive in planning to meet sales quotas and responsive to customer and team requests.
* Proven success in a sales-driven role with a history of longevity.
* Familiarity with MEDDIC sales methodology is a plus.
