As part of the local housing team within Housing Operations, based in Wishaw, you will assist the Housing Co-ordinator and Senior Retirement Housing Officer in managing retirement housing complexes. You will work in partnership to develop services for residents and the wider community, prioritizing the safety and wellbeing of residents and enhancing housing management and property maintenance services.
Essential qualifications include an S/NVQ level 2 joint Chartered Institute of Housing Award / Principles of Care Unit or an equivalent relevant housing qualification. Extended experience working with the public, preferably in housing services, and liaising with other agencies are required.
The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach, understanding the issues faced by older people, and an approachable nature. Experience in organizing social and recreational activities to promote community participation is desirable.
You will need to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member through Disclosure Scotland and obtain a satisfactory membership check before starting.
Working Pattern:
Monday to Thursday, 8.30 am to 4 pm, and Friday 8 am to 3.30 pm.
