Are you a qualified finance professional who values both people skills and financial expertise? In this role, you will support the delivery of budgets and accounts for a District Council with a Housing Revenue Account, within a wider support network of Business partnering teams and peer colleagues across other District/Boroughs. As Head of Finance Delivery, you will lead the SHDC Business partnering team, ensuring effective financial management, strategic leadership, and compliance with legislative and policy requirements.
Your responsibilities include managing budget monitoring for revenue and capital, developing financial controls, collaborating with statutory Section 151 officers, and supporting budget managers through guidance and training. Developing your team and promoting a positive culture within the finance department will be key priorities.
Requirements for the role:
* Full CCAB qualification (e.g., CIPFA/CIMA) with ongoing CPD.
* Proven experience managing finance teams, delivering budgets, management accounts, and year-end reports, with strong delegation skills.
* Previous experience in Local Government Finance, with strong knowledge of financial systems and Excel.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing demands.

* This role is based in Spalding with travel across Lincolnshire required.
