The Role
They are seeking an ambitious, performance-driven Sales Manager to lead and inspire a team of Business Development Managers (BDMs). The role involves engaging with business owners and decision-makers across the UK trades sector to promote attendance at their Business Growth Day events.
This is a hybrid leadership position that combines team management with hands-on sales activity. The successful candidate will coach, motivate, and manage a remote sales team while also personally contributing to sales targets. It’s ideal for a results-oriented leader who enjoys both inspiring others and closing deals themselves.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of BDMs to achieve consistent monthly attendance targets across multiple national events.
* Personally drive sales activity — engaging leads, converting opportunities, and setting the performance benchmark for the team.
* Manage and support the sales team remotely via Zoom/Teams, maintaining a culture of accountability and energy.
* Work collaboratively with the marketing department to optimise campaigns and maximise conversion rates.
* Monitor and analyse performance data to identify trends, improve processes, and enhance results.
* Foster a competitive, high-performance environment that recognises and rewards success.
Candidate Profile
* Demonstrable experience in B2B sales leadership, ideally within an events driven or training/coaching environment
* A hands-on, lead-from-the-front sales manager who thrives on both coaching and selling.
* Highly target-driven, financially motivated, and passionate about exceeding expectations.
* Strong communicator with proven remote team management skills.
* Confident using CRM systems, digital sales tools, and online meeting platforms.
