HOW TO APPLY.
We will not respond to LinkedIn InMails. To be considered, you must apply directly by email.
Send an email to answering these three questions:
* Why do you think you're right for this role?
* How do you think marketing agencies will use AI in the future, and will it distort the industry?
* What are your salary expectations and notice period?
Keep your answers short and honest. We're more interested in how you think than how polished you sound.
ABOUT DEFY.
Defy is a UK AI technology company building tools for creative agencies. We have three live products — Defy Monitor (competitive intelligence dashboards), Defy Automate (agentic AI workflows), and Defy Report (campaign performance dashboards) — and active pilots with named agencies.
Founded by Ian Cassidy (CEO, 20 years in agencies) and Alek Farseev (CTO, AI professor based in Singapore).
THE ROLE.
This is our first hire. You'll work directly with the founders to help our agency partners get value from our AI tools. It's a hands-on role with a lot of variety, and a real chance to grow with the business.
What you'll do.
* Help onboard new agency partners onto Defy Monitor and Defy Automate.
* Configure dashboards and workflows for each agency.
* Run check-in calls, take notes, follow up on actions.
* Use AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Zapier, n8n) to build and tweak workflows.
* Work with Alek's team in Singapore on bigger AI projects for clients.
* Help prep meetings, decks, and case studies for the CEO.
* Learn fast and pick up new things as we go.
You'll be good at this if.
* You're curious about AI and have already played with tools like ChatGPT or Claude.
* You're organised — you can keep track of multiple things at once without dropping any.
* You're comfortable on calls with senior people and happy to ask questions.
* You like the idea of an early-stage startup — chaotic, fast, no playbook.
* You take initiative without being told what to do next.
Nice to have.
* A degree (any subject — we care more about how you think).
* Internship or placement experience at an agency, SaaS company, or startup.
* Side projects, tools you've built, or anything that shows initiative.
COMPENSATION.
* Graduate salary.
* Percentage of net revenue on accounts you help grow.
* Equity on the EMI plan.
* Real responsibility from day one. You'll learn more here in six months than three years anywhere else.
