Fire Risk Officer needed in South/South West, £42,283 pa
PAYE - Reference: 5270744 As our Fire Risk Officer they will be carrying out Fire Risk Assessments of various types of premises. They will be assessing the fire strategy for all relevant Group buildings and all relevant parts of buildings in accordance with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. The postholder will be liaising with external bodies such as Primary Fire Authority, contractors, consultants, Local Authorities, and other Associations, ensuring that regular inspections are carried out on all Group dwellings and buildings with common areas, undertaking fire risk assessments according to PAS 79. The role will be to ensure that timescales adhered to by issuing programmes of fire safety work to the planned delivery teams. Fire Risk Officers can manage site time and home/office time as they see fit. Average site/home is approximately 40% site based to 60% home/office based. Successful candidates will expected to cover the entire geographical area that the client have properties which require fire assessments. (Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall, London) However, we do endeavour to allocate core assessments closest to the Risk Officers location. Our operating region includes Hampshire, Wiltshire, Somerset, Dorset, Devon, Cornwall and London. In the main they will find themselves working in the South/South West however you may have 1-2 visits to London each month. Ideally candidates will - Have experience in carrying out fire risk inspections and producing reports. As well as substantial knowledge and ability to act in role encompassing fire risk assessment and fire safety within a housing environment. Freedom to manage own time, so will need to be used to organising own diary and working independently. As there will be significant travel to our sites with this role, they will need to have a full clean driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
