Mountainhall Treatment Centre
A temporary (1 year fixed term) part-time 29.7 hour per week, vacancy has arisen in the Child and Adolescent Psychology Service to assist qualified psychology staff in Dumfries and Galloway. The post-holder will work directly with Applied Psychologists and other Mental Health and Allied Health practitioners to assist in the provision of psychological assessments, planning and delivering interventions designed to promote the psychological wellbeing of people referred to the service and assist with auditing and researching the outcomes of the service. This involves selecting and securing appropriate psychological assessment measures to facilitate the development, implementation and statistical interrogation of appropriate outcome measurement for new service developments.
The postholder will also facilitate the implementation and recording of a range of activity and capacity measuring tools to demonstrate efficient and effective use of clinical time.
The post-holder will liaise appropriately with colleagues and members of the wider multi-disciplinary teams under the line management and supervision of a Clinical Psychologist.
The department now has a complement of around 90 staff and offers a supportive environment for assistants and psychological therapists who are looking to initiate or develop their skills and extend their experience and scope of practice in recognised psychological therapies.
There is protected CPD and supervision time.
