What you'll be doing
You'll be working for an innovative mortgage lender and reporting into the Head of Compliance (SMF16 & 17).
You'll provide clear and pragmatic Compliance advice and guidance to all areas of the business, supporting informed decision-making while maintaining regulatory standards.
You'll also assist with the delivery of the Compliance Monitoring Plan and Quality Assurance across Mortgage Advice, Underwriting and other business areas, reporting your findings and recommendations.
In addition, you'll manage and investigate Financial Crime referrals, including review of PEP, sanctions and higher-risk cases, and provide cover for escalation when the Head of Compliance is not available.
You'll play a key role in supporting and monitoring the firm's implementation and ongoing Compliance with Consumer Duty regulations and also assist with regulatory horizon scanning and impact assessment.

What we're looking for
We're looking for an experienced Compliance specialist from the Mortgage arena with a strong working knowledge of MCOB, DISP, SYSC, GDPR and Consumer Duty regulations.
A CeMAP qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.
You'll also need to possess strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
