This is an exciting opportunity for a Mammographer to join our diagnostic clinical services in a purpose-built Specialist Diagnostics & Dental Centre. Featuring state-of-the-art facilities including MRI, CT, X-ray, and mammography, the centre will deliver a wide range of outpatient and diagnostic services across multiple specialities. As a HCPC registered Mammographer with significant post qualification experience in Mammography including biopsies, you will be responsible for the daily running of the Mammography service in liaison with the Lead Mammographer. You will be part of a team of senior radiographers, delivering a high quality, safe service and ensuring world‑class customer service at all times.
Key Responsibilities
* Report to the centre manager while working independently within a multi‑disciplinary team.
* Provide breast screening service using our Pristina technology, ensuring a fast and efficient patient journey from screening to treatment.
* Show flexibility of shared tasks to maintain the best quality service and establish strong working relationships.
* Organise the daily work programme to keep the department running efficiently.
* Work flexible hours as required to accommodate changing workload patterns.
* Perform high‑quality examinations according to referring physicians and departmental policies and procedures.
* Ensure all patients receive high standard care, analysing data accurately, recording results, and producing high‑quality images for reporting.
* Maintain equipment and cleanliness, reporting faults promptly.
* Manage resources efficiently, maintain stock control systems, and liaise with manufacturers and suppliers.
Key Skills / Qualifications
* BSc or DCR in Radiography (essential)
* Post Graduate Certificate in Mammography (essential)
* HCPC Registered (essential)
* Experience with biopsies (essential)
* Flexible and adaptive working attitude with strong focus on streamlining the patient pathway.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills to work closely with Lead Mammographer.
