We have a new opportunity for a Quality Engineer with experience of working on major Construction projects to join us on the MEH Alliance, working on the Hinkley Point C construction project. The main purpose of the role is to assist QA Area Lead in ensuring that the Project Quality Assurance requirements are understood and implemented and to ensure that Client and statutory requirements are effectively met and to support activities such as developing standards, incorporating lessons learned / best practices in the quality system, training on quality, audits and quality improvements.
* To report on quality metrics for the measurement of performance of the Works.
* Assist in audits on project activities as per project schedule and ad hoc.
* Review Life Time Quality Records (LTQR) for compliance.
* Interact cross-functionally with project team members and management.
* Assist QA Area Lead in Contributing to management reports.
* Champion Foreign Material Exclusion, preventing ingress or entrapment of non-specified materials, loose items or debris in equipment and /or systems during assembly and testing.
Requirements:
* Qualifications in an Engineering discipline, ONC / HNC / HND (or equivalent experience).
* Preferred membership of Chartered Quality Institute and IRAC auditor training.
* Significant experience in Quality Engineering positions on major construction projects
* Experience in the Nuclear industry would be beneficial.

NG Bailey on the Hinkley Point C Project
We are working across both Hinkley Point C units to deliver the infrastructure that will power the station and its operations, creating 1,000 jobs including many specialist engineers. Works include the design and installation of circa 76,000 cables totalling over 3,000km in length; over 180km of cable containment support systems; fire and environmental sealing; design and installation of earthing systems, and specialist packages associated with data acquisition and plant control.
