LiveMore exists to challenge the unfair NOs in the mortgage world. That’s why our mission is to empower mortgage brokers to lend more by turning NOs into YESs and by maximising affordable borrowing. By doing that whenever we can, we help our customers live more and be ready for all that’s yet to come.
Using our unique LiveMore Mortgage Matcher® and LiveMore Maximum Borrowing Calculator decision engine technology, we excel at overcoming challenges involving affordability, risk and Consumer Duty. We innovate for customers and mortgage brokers in need, where others don’t – like with LiveMore’s current mortgages ‘up to’, ‘into’ and ‘in’ retirement.
LiveMore is an innovative company with ambitious plans, and we know that our people are the key to achieving our goals. We live by four core behaviours that shape our culture and guide our success:
* Commitment – going the extra mile for brokers, customers, and colleagues.
* Agility – adapting quickly, embracing innovation, and staying ahead in a dynamic market.
* Humility – valuing collaboration, listening actively, and learning continuously.
* Openness – communicating transparently and welcoming diverse perspectives.
If these behaviours resonate with you, you’ll thrive here.
The role
Effective compliance management is a critical requirement at LiveMore. Working closely with the Head of Compliance, you will ensure that Group Entities and departments are managed and maintained to a high standard. As a young and fast-evolving business, the role is dynamic and involves regular evolution, testing, and feedback. This position offers a wide variety of responsibilities and opportunities for personal development over time.
We are looking for someone commercially minded, who can balance regulatory obligations with practical business considerations, ensuring compliance supports growth and customer outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Deliver compliance monitoring and quality assurance across key business areas, including Mortgage Advice, Underwriting, and the outsourced loan servicer, and maintain the compliance events diary, with findings reported and tracked to resolution.
* Manage and investigate financial-crime referrals, including review of PEP, sanctions, and higher-risk cases, and provide cover for escalation when the Head of Compliance is unavailable.
* Provide clear, pragmatic compliance advice and guidance to business areas, supporting informed decision-making while maintaining regulatory standards.
* Prepare, maintain, and contribute to committee packs and governance reporting, including clear MI, emerging risks, and recommended actions.
* Support and monitor the firm’s implementation and ongoing compliance with the Consumer Duty, providing assurance that processes, behaviours, and outcomes remain aligned with regulatory expectations.
* Coordinate policy and procedure reviews, chasing annual updates and supporting the delivery and tracking of mandatory compliance training.
* Provide AML/CTF support to the MLRO, including case reviews, MI, and assistance with regulatory submissions where required.
* Assist with compliance reporting to senior management, highlighting key risks, themes, and remediation progress.
* Assist with regulatory horizon scanning, assessing the impact of upcoming regulatory changes and communicating relevant developments to stakeholders.
* Actively promote a strong conduct and compliance culture, reinforcing accountability and behaviours consistent with LiveMore’s values.
Experience and Competencies
* Strong working knowledge of the FCA regulatory framework, with particular emphasis on MCOB, DISP, SYSC, GDPR, and Financial Crime requirements.
* Proven experience in a compliance role within an FCA-regulated mortgage lender or closely aligned financial-services firm.
* Sound understanding of mortgage advice and distribution models, from a compliance and conduct-risk perspective.
* Experience working cross-functionally across sales, marketing, and operations, providing compliance input throughout the product and customer lifecycle.
* Demonstrable capability in compliance monitoring, oversight, MI production, and regulatory reporting.
* Ability to investigate and manage complaints, conduct issues, and financial-crime referrals, including root-cause analysis and remedial actions.
* Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to deliver pragmatic, proportionate compliance advice that supports business objectives while meeting regulatory expectations.
* CeMAP-qualified (or equivalent mortgage compliance qualification).
Benefits
* 30 days holiday plus bank holidays
* Health cash plan
* Growth Shares
* Salary Sacrifice pension scheme
* Employee assistance programme
* A supportive and collaborative working environment with a Wellbeing Calendar focused on supporting mental, physical and financial wellbeing
* Structured quarterly career planning meetings with your Line Manager to support you with opportunities for professional development and promotion
