Role Summary:
Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior / Chartered Building Surveyor to join a dynamic and experienced team. This role offers a strong mix of project and professional work, with the opportunity to work closely with key clients, contribute to business growth, and progress into more senior roles.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop detailed project briefs with clients and senior stakeholders
* Build and maintain strong client relationships
* Support business development activities
* Prepare designs, specifications, and tender documentation
* Administer JCT building contracts and ensure compliance
* Undertake professional surveying duties including condition surveys, defect analysis, dilapidations, and party wall matters
* Liaise with clients, contractors, and internal/external stakeholders
* Support project budgeting and financial control
* Mentor and support junior team members
Essential Skills & Experience:
* MRICS Chartered status (preferred) or working towards
* Experience across commercial, retail, or educational properties
* Strong Microsoft Office skills
* Competent in AutoCAD and/or REVIT (training can be provided)
* Familiarity with NBS Chorus
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
* Strong communication skills and commercial awareness
Desirable Skills & Experience:
* Experience managing or mentoring team members
* Exposure to complex property portfolios
* Knowledge of property or facilities management
