Description
This position is a 12 Month Fixed Term contract for a Tier 1 Japanese Investment Bank.
Responsibilities include:
•Providing technical support to end-users in person, over the phone, or via remote access tools.
•Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues on VDI, desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
•Install, configure, and maintain operating systems (Windows 10), productivity suites (Microsoft Office), applications, and security software.
•Deploy and manage software updates and patches using tools such as Microsoft SCCM
•Utilize remote access tools (TeamViewer, Remote Desktop) to provide timely assistance to remote users.
•Support for collaboration and communications tools such as MS Teams, Email, Mobile coms
•Collaborating with other IT teams to resolve escalated issues and implement solutions.
•Investigating and troubleshooting critical vulnerabilities
•Developing and maintaining documentation, knowledge base articles, and training materials.
•Mentoring junior support staff and providing guidance on complex technical issues.
•Participating in the planning and implementation of IT projects, such as system upgrades and migrations where applicable
•Setup and Support AV equipment for Meetings for all levels of staff
•Provide weekly out of hours over night (6pm - 7am) support every 3 weeks, on a shift pattern (Earlys/ Mids and Lates)
•Hybrid working arrangements are not available for the foreseeable future
Requirements:
•3+ years of experience in desktop support
•Strong knowledge and experience of desktop operating systems, hardware, and software. Win 10, MS office Suite, Active Directory, Citrix, VDI and Exchange is essential.
•Familiarity with endpoint security software: antivirus, firewall.
•Knowledge of software deployment tools: Microsoft SCCM
•Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
•Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
•Willingness to work overtime/ out of support as needed to meet project deadlines and support business operations
•Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
•Relevant certifications (, CompTIA A+)
