The Unit Manager - Clinical role at Avery Healthcare focuses on supporting the care home management team to deliver high-quality, compassionate care for residents. The successful candidate will lead a team of nurses, senior carers, and carers, ensuring effective care planning and a safe, caring, and inclusive environment for all. Main duties of the job

As the Unit Manager - Clinical, your key responsibilities include leading and supporting your team, enhancing residents' quality of life through care planning, managing staffing rotas, and collaborating with the Deputy Manager and Clinical Managers to oversee medication management. You will uphold Avery's values of caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability in all actions.

* Leading a team of nurses, senior carers, and carers to support staff, including demonstrations and instruction of care activities.
* Enhancing and promoting residents' quality of life through effective care planning.
* Managing and participating in staff rotas to ensure adequate coverage and support.
* Supporting the Deputy Manager and Clinical Managers in medication systems management, including ordering and distributing prescribed medication.


About you

To succeed, you will live our values of caring, support, honesty, respect, and accountability. Our ideal candidate must have:

* An active NMC PIN.
* An NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
* At least two years' experience in a care home environment.
* Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

* A DBS Disclosure check, the cost of which will be met by Avery Healthcare.
* Proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
* NMC PIN is essential.

Person Specification


Qualifications

* Active NMC PIN, NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, and at least two years' experience in a care home environment. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
