Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust (BHFT) was formed in April 2001 and became a Foundation Trust in May 2007. In April 2011 community services merged with the Trust. The main centres are Reading and Slough, with other large towns in Berkshire. The Trust is part of two Integrated Care Systems and partners with six local authorities. Qualifications
Essential and Desirable qualifications are listed in the attached Person Specification. The content below reflects the key requirements as stated:
* MB BS or equivalent medical qualification; fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment; included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months; approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months; approved under S12 OR able to achieve within 3 months.
* Desirable: qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management; MRCPsych; additional clinical qualifications; in good standing with GMC with respect to warnings and conditions on practice.
Experience
* Excellent knowledge in specialty; excellent clinical skills using a bio-psycho-social perspective; wide medical knowledge; excellent English communication; ability to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty; evidence-based decision making including team input; ability to meet duties under the MHA and MCA; NHS or comparable service experience.
