A leading organisation within the support services sector is seeking a Financial Accountant to join its Finance Department on a fixed‑term contract. This role is based at thepany’s head office in Norwich and offers a 37‑hour working week, Monday to Friday, with a hybrid working model of 3 days in office per week. This is a well-established organisation with a broad range of services and products and will be working within a tenured and supportive finance operation.Your new role We are looking for a fully qualified Financial Accountant with strong technical expertise and a sound understanding of business taxation, including (but not limited to):
1. Statutory reporting
2. VAT & Corporation Tax
3. PSA returns
Key responsibilities include:
4. Preparing statutory accounts in line with applicable international and UK accounting standards
5. Supporting cash‑flow forecasting, modelling, and monitoring for the wider Group
6. Producing the monthly Group finance pack for internal distribution
7. Preparing VAT return workings and associated reconciliations
8. Overseeing corporation tax return preparation in collaboration with external advisors
9. Assisting with the external audit process and liaising with internal auditors as required
What you'll need to succeed
You will bring experience from a similar Financial Accountant role within a busy and diverse organisation, along with:
10. A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA or equivalent) and ongoing membership
11. Strong technical knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP reporting standards
12. A solid understanding of tax legislation, particularly VAT
13. Excellentmunication skills, with the ability to engage confidently at senior levels
14. Strong organisational skills and the ability to thrive in a deadline‑driven environment
What you'll get in return
