Role Overview
The role of Curriculum Assistant (Literacy) is a vital part of our commitment to raising achievement and supporting learners at Ysgol Dyffryn Taf. It aims to support the school in raising literacy standards by helping to identify pupils with low levels of literacy and ensuring they receive targeted, effective support. Working closely with teaching staff and senior leaders, the postholder will contribute to whole‑school and national priorities by assessing pupils’ literacy needs, delivering or coordinating appropriate interventions, and monitoring their progress over time. Through early identification, well‑planned support, and ongoing evaluation, the role will play a key part in improving outcomes for learners and promoting a culture of high‑quality literacy across the school.
