We are seeking a skilled Server and Barista to join our team on Saturdays at our cafe on the outskirts of Littlehampton. As a Server, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional service to our guests and ensuring they have a memorable dining experience.
Duties
* Greet customers warmly
* Present menus and help customers select food and beverages
* Take accurate food and drink orders
* Serve food and make drinks promptly and efficiently
* Check on customers regularly to ensure satisfaction
* Upsell additional items when appropriate
* Handle payments and operate the cash register
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders
Skills
* Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting
* Barista skills
* Proficiency in food safety practices
* Strong guest service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor
* Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately
* Knowledge of kitchen operations to communicate effectively with chefs
* Ability to upsell menu items to enhance the customer experience
* Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
* Familiarity with food preparation processes is beneficial
