£36,000–£42,000 + Door‑to‑Door Pay | OTE ~£50,000 | Permanent
Are you an experienced CNC Programmer looking to move off the shop floor into a more technical, customer‑focused role? This position offers the chance to join a leading CNC machine tool manufacturer as an Applications Engineer, using your mill/turn expertise to support customers, solve machining challenges, and deliver hands‑on technical guidance. Full applications training is provided.
What you’ll be doing
Providing machining support and technical advice to customers and internal teams
Planning and delivering cutting trials, demonstrations, and presentations
Running training sessions on CNC controls and CAM software
Representing the business at UK and international exhibitions
Responding to technical queries and providing on‑site support when required
Supporting project handovers with sales and engineering teams
Staying up to date with tooling, machining techniques, and measurement technologies
What you need
Strong CNC mill/turn programming and setting experience
Confidence using CAD/CAM software
Background in subcontract machining or precision engineering
Good communication skills and a practical problem‑solving approach
Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship (or equivalent)
HNC/HND in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering is desirable but not essential
What’s on offer
£36,000–£42,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Door‑to‑door travel pay with OTE around £50,000
