Deputy Manager – Children’s Residential Home | South Wales
We are seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join a not-for-profit children’s residential home in South Wales. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced residential support workers ready to progress into management or existing deputy managers seeking a stable and rewarding position. The Deputy Manager will work closely with the Registered Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, promote high standards of care, and ensure compliance with safeguarding policies.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the operational leadership of the children’s residential home
* Supervise, mentor, and support residential support staff to develop their skills
* Maintain and promote safeguarding, ensuring all care standards are met and upheld
* Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and work towards positive outcomes for children and young people
* Build strong relationships with external professionals, families, and safeguarding agencies
* Support the team in maintaining compliance with regulatory standards and best practices
Requirements
* Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People (CYP) or equivalent
* Experience working within a children’s residential setting
* Strong safeguarding knowledge and leadership potential
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Senior Residential Support Workers encouraged to apply
