Description This is a fantastic chance to join Nationwide’s Treasury Market Risk team. The team is responsible for the maintenance, production and development of market risk and valuation reporting across the Treasury function. The team also manages various complex models that provide support to regulatory and statutory risk reporting. The Market risk team are experts on a number of risks that the treasury function runs, key among which are credit spread risk, interest rate risk and foreign exchange risk reporting. With the ongoing integration of Virgin Money there are plenty of opportunities to shape the future of risk reporting and management. The Market Risk team works with a wide range of stakeholders from Front Office to Financial Risk Oversight to Treasury Finance. The primary goal of the team is to produce accurate, complete and timely reporting. The keys to success in this role are strong analytical skills with an ability to produce technical reporting and identify anomalies, an ability to thrive in a fast-paced evolving environment, a high level of self-motivation and drive coupled with a proven track record producing well controlled and timely reporting outputs. The Market Risk team forms part of the wider Reporting and Forecasting team within the Treasury function at Nationwide. At Nationwide we offer hybrid working wherever possible. Responsibilities What you’ll be doing This role will sit in the Market Risk team and will give you the opportunity to be involved with regularly reporting, model reviews, regulatory and statutory reporting and policy reviews. The role will report to a Consultant. You’ll be working in a fast-paced reporting team with a high volume of output that will mean you’ll have to think on your feet and problem solve while ensuring all deliverables are met. As we are at the heart of the business, you’ll have exposure to senior management and therefore have the ability to shape and influence the team and wider agenda. You will also have the opportunity to work on regulatory reporting change programmes helping to deliver important changes to our prudential reporting.
