P1 Contractors Ltd are a leading commercial landscaping contractor specialising in high-quality soft landscaping schemes. Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Landscape Contracts Manager to join our busy and established team in Glasgow & Linlithgow.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to manage a varied portfolio of new and existing projects in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.
The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of multiple landscape construction projects, with individual contract values ranging from £5,000 to £1 million. You will oversee directly employed site teams and subcontractors across Scotland, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standard.
Projects are predominantly soft landscaping, although experience in hard landscaping and/or environmental improvements would be advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
* Full responsibility for the delivery of high-profile landscape contracts
* Ensuring all works are carried out in line with specifications, drawings, and company standards
* Enforcing strict adherence to company Health & Safety policies and procedures
* Planning and coordinating labour, plant, equipment, and materials to maximise productivity
* Managing costs, programmes, and variations to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
* Regular site visits and effective liaison with Company Directors, Site Managers, Architects, and Clients
* Interpreting architects’ drawings and setting out work areas for operational teams
* Maintaining team motivation, performance, and discipline
* Accurate completion of all required documentation in line with company procedures
You
* Proven management or supervisory experience within the landscaping or construction industry
* Strong knowledge of soft landscaping operations
* CSCS Card (essential)
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-moving environment
* Flexible approach to working hours to meet operational requirements
* SMSTS or SSSTS qualification (desirable)
* Salary & package negotiable depending on experience
