The Physician Assistant (PA) is a licensed provider responsible for the assessment and management of various patient populations, including medical and surgical cases. The PA performs diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, develops care plans, and conducts ongoing evaluations. Additional duties may include precepting learners.

Essential Functions
1. Provides direct care, counseling, and teaching to patients in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and procedural settings.
2. Performs complete histories and physical examinations.
3. Orders, interprets, and evaluates laboratory and diagnostic tests.
4. Develops care and follow-up plans based on diagnostic and examination findings.
5. Orders medications and writes prescriptions per organizational and regulatory policies.
6. Maintains high-quality, timely documentation including admission, progress, procedure, operative, and discharge notes.
7. Performs bedside procedures appropriate to the patient population.
Education
Master's Degree in Physician Assistant required.

Licenses and Credentials
Physician Assistant license in the relevant state is required.
Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience as a PA required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Skilled in taking medical histories and interpreting findings.
* Ability to maintain quality control standards.
* Calm and effective reaction in emergency situations.
* Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
* Clear communication and effective relationship-building with patients and staff.
Previous surgical experience is required; plastics experience is preferred.
