Lead PCB Design Engineer – Portsmouth - £60k
My
client are looking for a Lead PCB Designer to join their team based in Portsmouth. The company develops advanced software and hardware products for a range of industries.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the engineering team to design and develop printed circuit board (PCB) layouts for consumer electronic products.
* Create schematics and PCB designs based on product specifications, ensuring functionality, manufacturability, and adherence to industry standards.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software engineers, and product designers, to ensure seamless integration of PCB designs into the overall product architecture.
* Generate and maintain accurate documentation, including design files, specifications, and assembly instructions.
Skills/Experience Required:
* Proven experience in PCB design using industry-standard tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or similar).
* Strong knowledge of PCB layout principles, design rules, and manufacturing processes.
* Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout software.
* Team leadership/management - ability to coordinate a team
Salary Range:
Up to £60k
