Grade: G8 £39,152 - £41,711 pa

Overview

Are you passionate about driving improvement and making a meaningful difference in Adult Social Care? This rewarding role offers the opportunity to champion assurance, quality enhancement, and inspection readiness. You’ll work closely with the Assurance & Business Manager and a dedicated team to ensure services consistently exceed standards, harness evidence-based approaches, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. If you thrive on maintaining robust quality assurance systems, analysing performance to uncover opportunities, learning from feedback, and keeping services inspection-ready, this position will enable you to make a real impact. You’ll engage in purposeful analysis, insightful reporting, collaborative stakeholder interaction, and practical improvement initiatives that contribute to better outcomes for our community.

Key duties

Responsibilities include gathering and analysing data for service improvement, working with Business Insights for compliance, monitoring service performance, producing assurance reports, and leading CQC self‑assessment and readiness.

Strategic and operational leadership

The role involves supporting the ASC continuous improvement programme, developing strategic plans and guidance, managing the directorate risk register and business continuity plan, and shaping communications internally and externally.

About you

You will have experience working in an Adult Social Care or Health environment, with a focus on quality assurance, compliance or improvement activity. You’ll bring a strong understanding of CQC requirements and the Care Act 2014, and how these translate into day‑to‑day practice. You will be confident analysing data and reports, supporting inspections and reviews, and using learning from complaints, compliments and performance information to drive improvement. Experience of project support, managing change, and working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders is essential, alongside clear written and verbal communication skills.

Qualifications

A degree or equivalent relevant experience is required, along with evidence of ongoing professional development.

What we can offer

* A competitive salary and generous annual leave
* A supportive and collaborative working environment
* Access to a range of learning and development opportunities
* Hybrid working arrangements and Flexible Working/Flexi Time Policies
