Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council, Governors are seeking to appoint a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a successful team of colleagues at Marston Green Junior School. We are looking for an enthusiastic, committed Teaching Assistant to join our successful school.
Responsibilities
* Establish positive relationships when supporting pupils with reading, writing and numeracy skills, promoting positive behaviour and helping develop pupils’ social, emotional and mental health needs.
* Provide support to pupils to ensure they achieve their full potential, including identifying and addressing barriers to learning.
* Demonstrate a flexible approach to work, be creative, innovative and forward thinking, and contribute to raising standards.
* Communicate effectively with children, staff and parents using excellent oral and written skills.
* Work with colleagues to support the Key Stage 2 curriculum and a range of learning activities.
* Work on own initiative as well as being a strong team member, with high expectations for pupil progress.
* Engage pupils using a range of strategies to support learning and development.
Qualifications and Skills
* Excellent oral, written and numeracy skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with children, staff and parents.
* Good working knowledge and experience of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
* Ability to establish positive relationships with pupils and support their learning.
* Commitment to ensuring all children of all abilities achieve their full potential.
* Flexible, creative, innovative and forward-thinking approach to work.
* High expectations and a commitment to raising standards.
* Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team.
* Knowledge of a range of strategies to engage pupils in their learning.
