Job Title: Laboratory Technician

Contract Length: 12 months
Schedule: 20 hours per week
Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to support day-to-day laboratory operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills and an eagerness to learn. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining a safe, efficient, and high‑quality laboratory environment, with opportunities to grow into more advanced scientific and analytical tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
* Support routine HSE tasks and ensure compliance with regulatory and internal safety standards.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment in accordance with laboratory protocols.
Housekeeping & Logistics
* Perform general housekeeping to ensure laboratory organisation and cleanliness.
* Assist with logistics, including ordering supplies, receiving deliveries, and inventory upkeep.
Instrument & Equipment Management
* Support laboratory instrument management, including routine checks and basic maintenance.
* Assist in preparing equipment for use by the technical and scientific teams.
Advanced Laboratory Support (Desirable / Development Opportunity)
For high-performing candidates, responsibilities may expand to include:
* Conducting routine laboratory analyses.
