We are seeking a Behaviour and Inclusion Specialist to work as part of our SEN School team, supporting teachers in creating a positive, inclusive, and nurturing environment for learners with Additional Learning Needs (ALN). The ideal candidate will be proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn the best strategies for supporting students with a range of needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), and physical disabilities (PD). About the role-
As a Behaviour and Inclusion Specialist, you will work closely with specialist SEN teachers and behaviour management professionals to support learners aged 3–19 with a wide range of Additional Learning Needs (ALN). Your role will focus on creating calm, structured, and inclusive environments that encourage positive behaviour, engagement with learning tasks, and strong relationship-building within the classroom.
You will typically support small classes of 6–8 pupils and may also provide dedicated 1:1 support when required. This includes assisting with personalised learning programmes, implementing behaviour support strategies, and working alongside teachers to deliver planned lessons. In a 1:1 capacity, you’ll offer consistent, focused guidance both inside and outside the classroom, ensuring the pupil receives tailored support to meet their individual needs. This role is highly rewarding and requires a proactive, empathetic approach to help every child thrive.
Requirements-
- Previous experience working with ALN is required and any experience working in a SEN School is welcomed.
- A positive, can-do attitude, and sense of humour is essential for this role.
- A genuine passion working with those with ALN.
- Child and Adult Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (we can help with this!)
- Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
- References available upon request.
- Full UK driving licence and access to personal transport.

Our SEN School is based in based across the Cardiff area and has a pupil base of 500 ranging from 3–19-year-olds all with ALN. The ALN include but are not limited to Autistic Spectrum disorder (ASD), profound, multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), and physical disabilities (PD).
