Job Description

Procurement Manager

Flexible on GTUK location – hybrid working. NEW GROUND WON’T BREAK ITSELF.

Every day, our teams help people in businesses and communities do what is right and achieve their goals. We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager to take our Procurement team to the next level. The team has been created three years ago and is increasing its influence. Reporting to the Senior Procurement Manager who reports to the Director of Procurement and Property, you will shape the function and support key areas such as IT/digital, Properties & Facilities Management, Travel, Recruitment, Events and Marketing, with scope to support all spending as the team develops.

A look into the role

* Be the procurement lead on a variety of indirect spend projects across the business, influencing key stakeholders to define new and effective procurement strategies that deliver best value and risk mitigation from responsible suppliers.
* Drive continual development of procurement policies and processes, including third‑party due diligence and risk management, ensuring we partner with quality organisations that support our values.
* Act as a key part of the team to increase the visibility of procurement and identify opportunities to drive business performance.
* Adapt traditional procurement processes to a more agile entrepreneurial organisation, working with service line leaders.
* Drive the firm’s ESG strategy to support our commitment to SBTi and our supplier diversity programme.
* Support stakeholders and finance colleagues to meet business objectives within budget.
* Ensure accuracy of procurement data (contracts database, spend data, activity tracker).

Knowing you’re right for us

* You’ll be a great communicator and relationship builder.
* You’ll be commercially astute, proactive and have proven negotiation experience.
* You’d ideally have experience in professional services, partnerships, or financial services.
* You’ll have experience with supplier management, third‑party assurance, and risk management.
* You’ll have experience of ESG & I&D within the supply chain.
* You’ll have experience in Digital & IT procurement, ideally software and hardware.

Knowing we’re right for you

Embracing uniqueness, the culture at Grant Thornton thrives on the contributions of all our people. We never settle for what is easy, we look beyond to deliver the right thing for everyone. Building an inclusive culture, where we value difference and respect our colleagues helps our people perform at the best of their ability and realise their potential.

Our open and accessible culture means you’ll interact with leaders who value your contributions and everything you bring to our firm. We give you the freedom to bring your whole self to work and pursue your passions inside and outside of work.

Beyond the job

Life is more than work. What you do and the people you’re with outside work matter. We’re happy to look at flexible working options for all our roles and will do our best to keep your work and life in balance. The impact you can make here will go far beyond your day job, from secondments, to fundraising for local charities, to investing in entrepreneurs in the developing world. It’s the drive to do the right thing that runs through our every move, grounded in our firm’s values – purposefully driven, actively curious and candid yet kind.

We’re looking for people who want to contribute, spark fresh ideas and go beyond expectations. People who want to proudly do what’s right for the firm, our clients, our people and themselves. It’s how it should be.
