We are looking for exciting new talent with a passion for food and customer service to join our team. There is now an exciting opportunity to join the team as one of our Assistant Shop Managers.

Pay & Hours
Pay: £27,000 per annum. Working week is 39 hours. We offer flexibility in working hours where possible to accommodate your needs. Our shops open early and have set shifts within our Shops.
Job Role
As one of our Assistant Shop Managers it is your responsibility to assist the Shop Manager with leading, training and working alongside our hardworking team, preparing fresh ingredients and producing sandwiches, baguettes and other food products in line with our Company standards, whilst providing excellent customer service and selling high quality fresh food. You will assist the Shop Manager with the day to day running of the store, supervise the team and run the shop at various times during the week when the Manager is off, ensuring the growth of the business through increasing sales, controlling costs and delivering profit, and developing and leading the shop team to build a loyal customer base. You will also be responsible for running the shop while the manager is on annual leave for up to two weeks.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensuring store schedules and objectives are met by employees, managing all aspects of the shop
* Assisting the Shop Manager with training, leading and developing the team
* Greeting customers and creating an inviting experience
* Receiving and checking daily deliveries
* Assisting with the management of branch stock and produce
* Maintaining shop displays
* Having excellent knowledge and understanding of products
* Preparation of food in line with the specification
* Food and produce quality control
* Maintaining the highest level of hygiene and food safety standards
* The ability to work efficiently within a team
* Cash handling, till operation, and banking
* Opening or closing the shop when required
* Running shifts at various times during the week and when the manager is on annual leave
* Driving sales and minimising wastage
* Providing great service experiences for customers
* Working together to train and lead the team as required
* Aim for consistently high standards
What are we looking for?
* Experience with team leading or supervising within food service or a retail setting
* A good communicator with a track record of success in previous roles
* Able to take responsibility within a fast-paced environment and provide high levels of customer service
